![]() I suppose I could make some simple script to look up the episode number from IMDB and rename the files, but that would seem redundant since TMM already appears to have that capability to some extent. ![]() The problem is that the content I download contains an accurate IMDB ID for each episode, but the provided season/episode number are inconsistent. Is that not the case? If it is the case, is there any way for me to batch assign IMDB IDs to episodes so that the scraper can then look up the correct metadata? ![]() It grabs all informations for movies and series from various databases and you can choose how to rename your files, including the episodes titles. These both led me to believe that when an ID exists for an episode in the database, it is used to fetch the episode number rather than using the parsed episode number to find the ID and associated metadata. If you have the season and episode in the name, something like S01E01, you can easily manage your series (and movies) with tinymediamanager. When re-scraping metadata for an episode after someone else had changed the episode number in TVDB, TMM changed the episode number according to the new data rather than using the number parsed from the filename. One thing I would like to recommend is get TinyMediaManager ( r/tinymediamanager ), it will fill in the holes and give you a uniform naming convention, trailers, etc. When changing the episode numbers within TMM and re-scraping the metadata after they had already been scraped but pulled data for the wrong episode, it reverted back to the episode from the filename.I was not able to see the ID in the episode properties.Īdditionally, how does lookup work once an item already exists in the database? In the past I have observed the following behavior: Is the IMDB ID supposed to be imported from the filename when selecting "Update Source"? That is what I tried and it didn't work. If it's possible to do what I'm asking, could anyone provide step by step instructions for how it should work? I have tried making basic NFO files with just the IMDB ID of an episode, but TMM seems to always ignore these, get the episode number from the filename instead (which often correlates to an entirely different episode due to different episode orders), and overwrite the NFO file I made. Im on the most recent build of Windows 10. Im using the IMDB scraper and have previously scraped these movies with no trouble. The source I acquire some of my TV shows from provides IMDB IDs for individual episodes, and I would love to be able to programmatically use these instead of manually checking the aired order on TVDB and renaming files before scraping to make sure they pull in the correct aired order. After updating to the newest version (2.9.4 build: 09:15) Im getting the following errors when scraping some movies but not others. My question is, how can I establish that sort of link before ever scraping the metadata? For discussion of those add-ons, feel free to visit /r/Addons4Kodi.So I know that behind the scenes TMM has some way of linking episodes with online metadata sources that ignores the episode number, because I have had episode numbers correctly change when re-scraping a show after the episode numbers for the show had been modified on TVDB.
